The Community Engagement Working Group was set up to engage with the local community in a 2-way dialogue. Firstly, we set out to consult with the community on the key components of the plan, to establish how people felt about where they lived, what they liked and didn’t like and how it could be better. The initial consultation developed and number of themes which we then investigated with findings presented back to the community for further comment. We communicate what is happening, hold events, advertise and promote as we progress through the development of the plan.
Community involvement, ideas and views are an essential part of evidence gathered to support the preparation of the Plan. Each village has its own representatives yet one plan will be produced which reflects these separate identities.
